The Avanzando to Success program is designed to support predominantly first-generation, Latino students in their third, fourth, and fifth-year postsecondary students by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to successfully navigate postsecondary completion and entry into the workforce. Participants are enrolled based on selection criteria established by the Affiliate partner within the parameters of serving the population targeted by UnidosUS. Avanzando to Success uses culturally responsive materials and learning strategies. The Avanzando to Success curriculum builds skills and understanding in each of these areas through a series of 45-90-minute lessons with approximately 6 of core modules and 4 supplemental modules delivered over the Spring 2025 semester. The participants will be a cohort of 15, carrying the same group of participants throughout the spring semester. Avanzando to Success is designed for implementation with a population who historically lacked access to high-quality PK-12 education and face barriers to postsecondary success.
