Cristal Mazon was born and raised in the border town of Douglas, AZ and earned her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is currently pursuing further education in social services that will assist her in her current role. Prior to working at Amistades, Cristal was a patient service representative in the health care sector where she served the community with their medical needs. As an Outreach Specialist on the Noche Oscura Overdose Task Force, Cristal focuses on increasing awareness and the prevention of opioid and psychostimulant overdoses in the community.
Being a mother of two teenagers herself, Cristal has become more aware of the danger's that youth in our community face. Cristal’s Mexican American heritage is one of the main reasons as to why she is so passionate in helping the Latino community. Cristal’s main goal is for a safer and healthier community for future generations; and she believes in the most culturally appropriate and effective way to better the paths for our future leaders.
