El Renacimiento is a curriculum developed by Amistades over a decade ago to support young people in exploring identity, heritage, and personal growth. Rooted in inclusive, community-based teaching practices, it encourages youth to reflect on their experiences and the world around them through accessible discussions of culture, language, and belonging. The curriculum has been implemented in schools across Pima and Cochise Counties and is designed to foster trust, unity, and confidence among learners. El Renacimiento invites students of all backgrounds to engage in meaningful self-discovery and dialogue. This curriculum ensures the youth participating in the program gain knowledge of their cultural heritage and contribute to the ongoing development of resources and support systems.
