Twenty years ago, Amistades began with one program, in one neighborhood in Tucson, built on the idea that culture is a foundation for what a community can become. The strength of our community lives in its connections. In the way family and neighbors show up for one another. That is what Amistades was built on.
LET'S BUILD TOGETHER
If you're a funder, an agency, a business, a neighbor — there is a place for you in this work. Bring what matters to you and your community, and let's move toward our potential.

Amistades has grown from a single program into a collaborative network that reaches across Arizona. Health promotion. Workforce development. Civic engagement. Higher education. Behavioral health. Community research. Youth empowerment. Climate action. Each one built because a community asked for it.
We start where the need is — with a neighbor. One neighbor, one family, one conversation, one listening session at a time. Those neighbors become neighborhoods. Those neighborhoods become a community, become a movement.
Twenty years of partnerships like these, grew more than an organization. Twenty years gave us roots. The next twenty are about what those roots sustain. A foundation of trust, expertise, and community voice that can hold whatever comes next.
But no one builds what our communities deserve alone. That's why we're asking you to build it with us.
Now it's time to act on what we've heard.
And this next cycle will require all of us.
