Amistades manages the Amistades Substance Abuse Coalition, a community-driven group that provides substance abuse prevention in the Flowing Wells area. The Coalition, in collaboration with a cross-sector of community partners, addresses the problem of underage drinking and marijuana, tobacco, and prescription drug use among Latino youth. A vision to create healthy, productive, safe, and drug-free communities is the driving force behind the coalition implementation of a sustainable prevention infrastructure for their community.
