In partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA), the Latino Opioid Consortium’s (LOC) purpose is to decrease rates of illicit opioid use/misuse by clients in Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) and counseling treatment at the six month follow up. The LOC ensures timely treatment engagement for those with dual-diagnosis and supporting individuals with OUD re-entering the community following incarceration, through an existing consortium of health/behavioral health providers in Pima County, Pinal County, Cochise County, and Santa Cruz County in Arizona. The Latino Opioid Consortium (LOC) increases culturally responsive, accessible and comprehensive MAT services in rural and urban settings.
