Jointly with UnidosUS, Padres Comprometidos is a parent engagement program which fosters a strong connection between schools and parents. Padres Comprometidos builds the capacity of parents to acquire the skills they need to effectively engage with schools and actively support their children's educational journey and long-term success. The program addresses language and culture as valuable skills and strengthens confidence and advocacy. Through Padres Comprometidos, Amistades serves as the bridge between parent engagement and involvement in the schools. The program changes parent perceptions and knowledge regarding access to college, parent relationships with their children, and parent’s relationships with schools.
